UPDATE – The request for consultations by the Russian Federation has now been released as WTO doc. WT/DS525/1.

On 19 May 2017, the Russian Federation notified the WTO Secretariat that it had requested WTO dispute consultations with Ukraine regarding alleged restrictions, prohibitions, requirements and procedures adopted and maintained by Ukraine since 2014 in respect of trade in goods and services from Russia, as well as transit. Russian Economy Minister Maxim Oreshkin was quoted as saying that ‘there are serious grounds to believe that by all these measures taken, Ukraine is violating its obligations towards WTO’.
