T.M.C. Asser Press has announced a high level event on ‘International Organisations and Dispute Settlement: Between old challenges and new perspectives‘, on the occasion of the launch of Luca Pantaleo’s book titled: ‘The Participation of the EU in International Dispute Settlement – Lessons from EU Investment Agreements‘.

The full programme is available here.

The event focuses on the participation of international organisations in the settlement of international disputes and will be articulated in three main sessions. The first session will focus on the EU legal order. The second session will address the complex questions of the new modes of regulation by non-State (arbitration) actors as generated by EU Investment Agreements such as CETA. The third and final session will take a different perspective and will focus on some topical policy aspects relating to the negotiation and conclusion of EU investment agreements, in light of the pending Opinion 1/17 concerning CETA.

The event will be held on 4 February 2019 from 09:00 to 18:00 at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (Hoofdvestiging, OV 3.37)
