The Asia FDI Forum III will be held in Hong Kong on 11-12 May 2017. It is organized by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the Centre for Financial Regulation and Economic Development, the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, and Tsinghua Law School; with the support of UNCITRAL, World Economic Forum, Institute of European Studies in Macao, and DotTrademark.
The Asia FDI Forum III will gather top academia, government, company and civil society practitioners, who will discuss regional investment trends, highlight specific features of China’s and EU’s investment treaties and policies, and explore the various legal and policy implications that the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) currently being negotiated between the PRC and the EU will have.
The event is organized by Professor Julien Chaisse, Professor, Faculty of Law & Director of the Center for Financial Regulation and Economic Development at CUHK, and PIL Advisory Group’s local liaison for Asia Pacific. Professor Donald J. Lewis, PIL Advisory Group expert on international economic law with a focus on China Trade & Investment, will also participate in the conference.
